The rental TV that never holds your password

Today you either lend guests your own Netflix — against the sharing rules, with a password rotation every checkout — or you hand them a bare TV. Hotels solved this with racks of casting hardware. An apartment needs software.

How a stay would run

Three moments — two of them automatic.

  1. 1

    Before check-in

The booking's name and dates flow to the TV. The guest walks in to a screen that greets them, shows the Wi-Fi password and the house's five rules — the ones nobody reads in the binder.

  2. 2

    During the stay

The launcher shows Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, Disney+ and friends. The guest signs in exactly like in a hotel that got casting right: their account, their watchlist, their profiles. Your accounts are not on the device.

  3. 3

    At checkout

One tap in your host app — or automatically at checkout time — and every session is wiped: logins, searches, continue-watching. The next guest inherits a clean TV, not a stranger's recommendations.

No password rotation. No 'please remember to log out' card that guests ignore. No 11pm revelation that someone from March is still on your account.

Expected launch price

Published before the product exists, on purpose: if $9 a month reads as too much for your operation, that is signal we want now, not after building it.

Expected launch price

$9per month

Founder price$6 per month

Per property, all TVs included. Runs on the Android TV most sets already ship with — no extra hardware, no hotel appliance.

This product does not exist yet. The number above is the price we expect to launch at, not a commitment. If the waitlist says it is wrong, it changes.

What the price covers

  • One property, every TV in it
  • Welcome screen synced with your booking calendar
  • Guest sign-in for the major streaming apps, wiped at checkout
  • The one-tap remote reset from your phone

What it does not cover

  • No per-TV hardware to buy or ship
  • No lock-in — cancel and the TVs keep their stock launcher

Founding-list price is $6 a month, locked for as long as you keep the subscription.

Fair objections, answered straight

Guests won't bother signing in to their own Netflix.
Hotels measured this one for us: casting systems where guests use their own accounts are now standard in the chains precisely because guests prefer their own watchlist to a stranger's. The sign-in is a QR code, not a remote-control typing exercise.
My TVs are Roku / Fire TV, not Android TV.
Then this product can't help you at launch — it targets Android TV and Google TV first. On Roku, the built-in Guest Mode is genuinely decent; on Fire TV there is no equivalent, which is exactly why the forums complain. The limitation section below is honest about this.
Can't I just make a 'Guest' profile on my own account?
You can, and thousands of hosts do. You are still lending your account to a stranger — against Netflix's paid-sharing terms since 2023 — and still changing the password after every stay that overstays its welcome. The guest profile fixes the recommendations problem, not the account problem.
Nine dollars a month, forever, for a launcher?
For a launcher, no. For never rotating passwords, a welcome screen that answers the Wi-Fi question before it's asked, and a checkout that cleans every session — that's the nine dollars. If your operation doesn't feel those costs, keep the free workflow; it's genuinely fine at one property with patient guests.
